EMDavid and Renee Millen

David and Renee (with children Christian, Rebekah and Timothy) were the first missionary family to be ‘sent out’ by the newly formed Woodlands Church. They served in Carlow (Republic of Ireland) from 1979 to 1985, and during this time saw a new church birthed (which continues to this day). - During this period God did something else in the hearts of the Millens… They became convinced that there was no community on earth like the local church when it was functioning properly. On returning north in 85, David was appointed as Director of Evangelical Ministries (EM), and under his leadership EM was redirected to become a mission dedicated to helping communities of God’s people (churches) become all God intends them to be. - As well as providing consultancy, resources and training aimed at revitalising the churches they serve, EM also runs two national annual conferences: The Mandate (for men) and Focusfest (for women)- “While we do a lot of varied ministry”, says David, “The driving conviction behind all this remains the same. It can be stated as … “Change the church and you change the world! – Thanks folk, for all your support through the years”

They continue to run Africare, and are now also responsible for ‘Acheru’ (Afaayo Child Health Education and Rehabilitation Unit). Prison FellowshipRobin and Joy Scott, Gillian and Judith

Robin left Bible College in 1988 and started working with Prison Fellowship as their Fieldworker. Since 1993 he has been the full time Director with responsibility for the day today running and management of the organization. PF visits all 3 prisons in Northern Ireland and makes contact with all new inmates as they arrive in the prisons. Four weekly Bible studies are concluded in two of the prisons. Families are supported in the outside through requests coming from within the prison. Other activities such as Youth work - Path Finders and Christmas programme give further opportunities to show the love of Christ in a practical way.
